If you don't see your material here don't worry it can probably be cut. We
have not found a material that can not be cut by an abrasive waterjet
machine. If we did find a material, we would build our machine from it as
"The stream cuts everything including the machine".
With our equipment our cutting envelope is 72x144
inches. We can also cut through 6 plus inches of
material.
Holding tight tolerances with our Dynamic head
machine is our specialty. We have designed and built
custom fixtures for our machine to allow us to hold
tighter tolerances. With these fixtures we have held
tolerances as tight as +/- .001 on 1/4 inch steel.
Tolerance depends largely on the type and size of the
material being cut. For the majority of work +/- .005
is not a problem. Please let us know your needs.
Abrasive waterjet machining is an environmentally
safe process. Using a 60,000 PSI stream of water
mixed with garnet as an abrasive we produce finished
parts that need little or no secondary operations with
no heat-affected zone, heat distortion, or mechanical
stresses caused by other cutting methods.
